We’re excited to reveal our latest open-source initiative: Connhex Edge Examples, a comprehensive resource for firmware developers aiming to connect their product to Connhex Cloud. It’s a collection of custom services designed to help firmware developers get started with Connhex Edge quickly.
Why open-source?
One of our goals for 2025 is to reduce friction for developers building connected devices with Connhex. By open-sourcing these examples, we aim to:
- accelerate development: skip the trial-and-error and get started with proven patterns.
- promote best practices: learn how to manage service lifecycles and establish efficient communication between edge devices and Connhex Cloud.
- support multiple languages: whether you’re comfortable with Python, Go, or JavaScript, we’ve got you covered with reference implementations - and more will be coming soon!
What’s included?
The Connhex Edge Examples repository includes:
- Example custom services that communicate with the Connhex Edge agent.
- Best practices for service lifecycle management.
- Ready-to-use code snippets in Python, Go, and JavaScript.
With these examples, you’ll be able to quickly set up custom services that interact with Connhex Edge, helping you streamline your device-to-cloud communication.
