Today we turn 3: on April 21st, 2021, we were founding Compiuta.

Earlier this year, as we were discussing what a great way to celebrate would be ¹, an idea emerged. We had already explored a few ways in which we could make Connhex useful to others: what about gifting ourselves with some time to formalize these?

We settled on a simple concept: supporting environmental research with all of our technology and expertise. For free.

The plan

We are calling this effort Connhex for the planet: hopefully, by removing all the engineering involved in reliably gathering data from the field, researchers will be able to move faster.

Practically speaking, we will support registered research organizations focusing on environmental research by:

• providing everything included in Connhex for free
• hosting a dedicated Connhex instance at our own expense
• making all of our technology and expertise for reliable data transfer available free of charge
